Lucky Number 4

It was me & WL's dinner date as usual when we don't have the chance to watch movie together. I would say this time our date is rather special cuz he drove all the way to Sg Wang. Gosh, I can't remember the last time I went there for shopping, not to mention having meals there. Seems long, long ago...

We finally settled down at U-Village Restaurant ala char chan teng style to ease our hungry little stomachs. Food was okay, not great. But what can expect from this kind of restaurant, right? When my order arrived, I was rather puzzled to see a piece of thin ikan bilis-like fish as a garnishing on my rice. Coupled with a few pieces of sweet & sour pork and some half-cooked veggie (felt so tough eating it...*sighs*), my dish was plain weird. To top it off, the deep-fried pork contained almost 90% flour only. Very cost saving, no? WL's salted fish braised pork or something like that tasted like kong po style instead. Not too bad, actually.

The bill came & we were amused by the amount to be paid.

Bad feng shui number or potential number for lottery strike? Quit rolling your eyes. I know it's lame but we both find it really peculiar. Especially when our net total was RM40.40 with service tax of RM4.04. It's lucky number 4 for me & WL. Hmm, maybe my darling should try his luck on a 4D lottery. After all, small bets are of no harm. ;)

Six months over & off the hook

This post title speaks for itself. I'm officially confirmed as the permanent employee in the company I'm working in now. Wee! Benefits of a such status would be...

THE ELIGIBILITY OF TAKING ANNUAL LEAVE!!

Nyahaha~ XD

Big deal, yeah? :P Hehe. Of course. I no longer have to endure another round of pay cuts if there's a need to take leave from work. Perhaps taking time off for a vacation?? Hmm...

First Trip Part 2 ♥

I have to make another post for this as there's still much more to be told. At least to preserve these sweet moments in case my memory starts to wane in the near future XD. We started off a pretty lazy Saturday morning reason being I didn't have a good sleep the night before due to minor stomach ache. And poor WL could hardly sleep a wink, worried that I'm falling sick - wrapping his arms around me every now & then to check whether I'm alright. Aww...

There were complimentary breakfast for our one-night stay at the First World Cafe. But as quoted by WL, he wanted to continue his slumber & the free breakfast probably tastes mediocre. Being a breakfast person, I can't afford to miss the most important meal of the day (unless I wake up at 11.30am XD). And so I had sumptuous...or rather a wholesome & fattening breakfast from McD's again. The set menu that comes with 2 pcs of hotcakes (in other words pancakes), a slice of chicken sausage patty, hash brown coupled with a cup of tea/coffee.

After checking out of the hotel, we went for lunch & then for our last sightseeing for the day. Just to enjoy the last few hours of the cooling air before heading home. We stopped by at the convention hall for some praying as it was Wesak Day. Then we drove off the car to another parking closer to the location that we intend to sightsee Unfortunately, the cooling air can only be felt at certain parts of the highlands & the weather got a little sunny. Knowing that the higher you are above sea level, you tend to feel the sun rays even more than in the lowlands.

There's a little garden built facing the deep ravines, overlooking the horizon below. For me, it was pretty scary standing there even if it's only to take pic. I just realised that I'm a little acrophobic as my legs was midly weak while leaning against the railings.

WL was there so I could say that my fear diminished quite a lot. ^^

The garden seemed fine to me though nothing extraordinary. I supposed I'm only making an excuse to camwhore so that I have more pics to post, eh? =P

Gee, the fountain really sucks~ =/

This is the last shot we took before going home...

It was rather sad that the trip ended so quickly. You tend to wish that everyday is like this - relaxed & worry-free. Now it makes me wonder how long do I need to wait for another trip; just the two of us. Hopefully soon.

First Trip Part 1 ♥

The first trip away from home with your beloved will always have a special place in your heart. Mine is no less similar to other romantic souls out there. Me & WL first trip together was up at the highlands of Genting. What made us decide to go there? Firstly, it's the nearest place I could only go to. Secondly, the weather was scorching hot for the whole week. The heat wave was almost unbearable that I thought I might passed out of dehydration. WL kept on complaining that he's constantly bathing in sweat that his underwear is soaking wet. Thirdly, it was a pretty tough & exhausting week in the office that both of us were in need of a relaxing weekend off. Therefore, Genting was the most viable option as the journey is less taxing.

The most craziest thing I've ever done was taking a half day leave to travel together with WL. Nevertheless, it was a good move. Otherwise, we might've been caught in a huge Friday jam. Upon arrive at First World, I sat down while waiting for WL to check in; fighting off my drooping, sleepy eyes. The lobby was not any different from my last visit 5 years ago. Everything was as familiar as if 5 years ago seemed like yesterday.

Upon checking in, I was relieved & glad to see that the deluxe room is more spacious than the standard room I stayed previously. Well at least, the bathroom & toilet is together XD. Long story cut short, we went for dinner at about 8pm. And I mean, only the first round of dinner. Why? As usual, Genting is known for its lack of affordable & delicious food outlets. Fast food outlets are the only places where you can get pay for dirt cheap fairly "affordable" food. We were unlucky to lay hands on pretty awful looking chicken rice that tasted disastrous, which left our tummies totally unsatisfied. =(

Still determined to stuff in more food, we decided to take a stroll in the outdoors at night. Boy, what an experience! From the indoors of the exclusive Highland Hotel...

...to hanging out at Coffee Bean's alfresco area at 10pm for about half an hour.

Walking around aimlessly on wet grounds in the dark - clinging tightly to WL's arms whilst the cold, icy wind brushed against our faces - was the most romantic thing I've ever done in my life. Despite the cold weather, I felt so much warmth. Not only cuz he was there to keep me warm...I was really safe in his arms. At that moment, it seemed that we've known each other for a long time; understood each other so well. I realised that I'm starting to love him more than ever...

We retreated to the indoors of First World Plaza as the low temperature outside was becoming unbearable. After all, it was time for our 2nd round of gastronomic feast. Ahh~ The wonderful creation of fast food! A wholesome supper to indulge in before bedtime XD. This pic was taken at Burger King while WL ran down to get McD's for me.*swoons* Another romantic gesture from him...how sweet~ Btw, I just realised that he was caught on camera while ascending the stairs =P

Then we had a few rounds of camwhore session. What better way to allow your food to digest before going to bed XD. Like they said, pics paint a thousand words. Pics, pics & more pics!

More to come. Stay tune! ^^

Girls, please watch this space...

I'm commenting this in relation to those girls gone missing cases that are becoming rampant these days. Either they're being murdered or raped by their boyfriends. What's even more frustrating is that they actually go out for dates after getting to know the guy for merely weeks. And why on earth would you go out with a guy alone whom you've only chatted online for less than 3 months?

I wonder, can girls really be that dumb & easily cheated? =( I read these news with a painful heart knowing that the majority of the males' image have been tarnished by irresponsible boys reported in the news. It's truly unfair to the rest of the guys who respects & treats women well. Girls, this is a wake-up call to y'all. Please, please...take good care of yourselves. Open your eyes & search carefully. Guys are nice living creatures if you mix with the right ones.

Korean feast...the good & bad

I'm not that adventurous when it comes to trying new things, particularly food. For that matter, it never crossed my mind that I would lay my hands on Korean cuisine. Instant noodles were an exception though. All this while, I thought that Korean food will end up giving me an aweful experience. Therefore, I already have a presumptuous opinion on how Korean food (should) taste like.

After WL took me to Daorae at Kota Damansara, it proved my presumptions wrong. Korean food actually rocks! Sans the kimchi though. Cuz I was never fond of spicy sour-like food i.e. assam laksa that makes me cringes each time I put them in my mouth. Kimchi was not any better which is why I find it a little difficult to digest. =/ Little did I know that irregardless of what you order, you'll be served with mini dishes to complement your main course. You may call it appetizers as you please.

The main course which WL selected - bbq chicken & pork were obviously good. We tried the ginseng chicken & omg...it tasted like heaven~ (that's was what I thought so). With that, I have a general idea of Korean dish being one of the most delicious & unique dish.

Mind you, however, not all Korean restaurants can cook up such a feat. Even more so if it's some so-called exquisite, expensive dining. The farewell dinner we had for our colleague at GoGung, The Gardens was a perfect example of a expensive but less than satisfactory dining experience. I dare say we paid an exorbitant price for merely 3-4 dishes. On top of that, the taste was mediocre. It was a total rip-off. There you have it, the good & bad of my experience indulging in Korean food. Go for Daorae - more affordable & yummy too! =)
